Shea Butter or Shea Nut Butter is a natural moisturizer that softens and firms the skin at the same time.When combined with other ingredients it acts as the icing on the cake with some neck firming cream formulas.
It is slightly yellowish or ivory-colored and comes from fruit of the shea tree.There have been claims that it also holds some anti-inflammatory properties, and in addition to anti-wrinkle cream and neck firming creams, has been put forward in cosmetic products that claim to treat many other skin ailments. Namely:

- rashes
- acne
- severely dry skin
- blemishes on the skin
- dark spots on the skin
- skin discolorations
- chapped lips
- stretchmarks
- lessening the skin irritations caused by psoriasis
There are some further claims that it acts as natural UV sun protection.
